Just got my camera/iPad connector kit (only took four weeks!) and am hoping this will make it possible to post pics while traveling. Let's see what happens...

This is a quick snap of Ripley's signage in the yard, which reads, "BE AWARE. Witch Mountain Hideout. Kids and Dogs only." Don't say you weren't warned.

My word for 2010 is DOCUMENT. As in, document all of the little things that happen in our lives. I've been pretty good about taking pictures of the randomness of the day-to-day, but I have NOT been diligent in writing things down over the past year, and I need to rectify that. So many little stories floating around our house, our group of friends, our lives, yet those stories have started to fade into the fog that is my brain because I have not been documenting them. I hope to change that this year.
Sadly, when looking for quotes for my word, I primarily found information on the U.S. Constitution. Not really what I was going for...but here's one that does speak to my desire to keep up with the documentation of life:

So, on to the documentation of life! I will update with everyone's words here soon...
Happy New Year! Hard to believe that 2009 is in our past and a new decade has begun. How did that happen? I must not be paying much attention...
I certainly haven't paid my blog much attention recently, but I am going to turn over a new leaf as my blog is concerned. More on that later.
For now, I figure it's not too late to document December -- I did (I mean, I'm still doing...) the December Daily project this year, along with friends Ellery and Alecia. SO much fun to work with Christmas-themed products, holiday junk mail, old Christmas cards, felt, and ribbon. I alway enjoy taking pictures of the day-to-day, and this project is a fabulous excuse to photograph little inanimate objects around our house, the mall, etc. Here is a little sampling of the "best of December Daily" thru mid-December. I actually include all 31 days of December instead of stopping at Christmas. It seems like there is so much I would have missed of the season without including those last 6 days.

that's right -- I finally bit the bullet and bought the 40D in preparation for our Disneyland trip. Now, to find the time to really play with it...you know what, for THAT I will MAKE time!

Last week during one of our "mommy days", Ripley and I decided it would be fun for her to dress up in her new Halloween costume (courtesy of a very sweet grandma LaLa), and go for a photo shoot.
