I was thinking about something this morning...Some days just seem to be full of possibilities. Those are the days you really need to act, to think about all of the good, the happy, the humorous in your life. Because some days just AREN'T. Some days are full of frustration and anxiety and moodiness, especially when you have children! I say that with all of the love in my heart, you know that, right?
That's why today, on a day full of possibilities, I want to focus on what I think is COOL (inspiring, exciting, whatever adjective you'd like to insert) right now.
Ripley's first music program at school is coming up on Monday. Now if that isn't something to look forward to, I don't know what is! Fifteen 3-year-olds on stage singing Kookabura. Pretty COOL. Even cooler is the fact that all three of Ripley's grandparents are scheduled to be at her big night. Cool grandparents.
You know what else is really COOL? Green updates from so many of you over the past month. Hearing that you are now recycling for the first time, or trying some green cleaning products in your house, or that you've switched out an old light bulb for a new Compact Fluorescent Bulb. That's COOL. See, it IS easy being green.
OOH! Something COOL, for all of you folks out there who have gone digital with your photography...This is a great article on digital photo storage and backing up your pictures -- click here. I do SOME of the things that Karen suggests, but I also take a backup of all of my pictures on a CD (or more like CDs plural for me) to my safe deposit box. I know it is time-consuming to deal with a backup plan for your pictures, but wouldn't you just FREAK OUT if your system crashed and you lost all of those incredible snapshots?
And here's the COOLEST thing of all. I'm headed out tomorrow to meet my sweetie down in Santa Fe for a belated celebration of his birthday. That's definitely cool. I think I'll be able to focus on my one little word for 3 whole days! Yippee!
I hope everyone can find a day full of possibilities. If you are having some days that just AREN'T, just remember that another full one is right around the corner. Of course, that is coming from a gal who is less than 24 hours away from a frosty margarita in New Mexico...
