Ali Edwards (yes, she is my "scrapbooking idol") posted a challenge on her blog — pick a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2007. Well, mine is RELAX, and I can think of a billion ways it can be applied to my life.
Don’t take things so seriously.
Enjoy the moment.
Take a minute and breathe.
Don’t just REACT to every little thing.
The list could go on and on. I picked my word right after Ali posted her challenge, and I have to say it’s already made a big impact for me. I think about this word often, and I’ve made several little RELAX reminders that hang in my office/scrap space. I’ve even authorized my husband to tell me to RELAX when I’m overreacting about something! That’s pretty big for me. Now let’s see if he does it…
If you don’t already read Ali’s blog or get her AEzine (weekly newsletter), you should check it out. This is the link to the One Little Word challenge. http://www.lifeartmedia.com/newsletter11.html
If anyone else has picked “one little word”, post a comment and let us know what your word is. I'll add your WORD as a page (see the right hand column of my blog, under PAGES, One Little Word) and I’ll be sure to look up some quotes for you!
Here is a link to Ali's "master list" of words that others have picked for 2007.
Here's our master list of words for 2007...
I think my word for this year would have to be "survive."

This is a really neat concept.
"Faith" for me. Finding it, accepting it, using it, believing it, having it, debating it, everything.

Love this idea. Ironically, on January 1, I had decided 'simplicity' was my theme! Its working so far!
